Michael Cuddyer’s career with the Twins has seemed a bit bumpy. Maybe its because he’s shifted all over the field. Maybe its because it took so long for him to lock down a permanent spot. Or that his 2008 season was lost to injuries.
Whatever the reason, heading into the 2009 season Twins fans were way […]

This morning Howard Sinker dropped the biggest hot stove bomb of the off-season so far. When Gardenhire was asked about the outfield at an event in Fargo yesterday, he said outright that his starting three are Cuddyer, Gomez and Span — presumably leaving Delmon Young as the odd man out.

LaVelle has a really nice read on StarTribune.com today. He breaks down the history and recent events of Denard Span’s career.

There’s news breaking this morning that the Mets are not willing to include both Fernando Martinez and Carlos Gomez, but a name being tossed around as possibly included instead is Ryan Church. I figured some of you may want to know a little more about him.
Church, 29, has a left-handed bat and glove. […]

Charlie Walters dropped this speculation in the Pioneer Press a couple days ago. Cuddyer has the arm for it, but not sure that he has the range. Besides, I like the fact that Cuddy has finally found a position that works for him at the plate. Doesn’t make sense to move him again and mess […]
