Wow, the AL Central would be amazingly strong. I […]

Phil Humber on Carlos Gomez:
“I put him on par with (Jose) Reyes. Reyes probably accelerates a little faster, but if you (raced) them first to third, I’ll bet Gomez gets him,” said Humber, a teammate at Binghamton, New Orleans and the Mets. “He covers a lot of ground in the outfield, and on top of […]

Update 2/21/08 10:08am: Casilla’s appointment has been rescheduled for today! He’s expected to be in camp possibly as early as Saturday.

Each year, Baseball Prospectus projects player performance* and team wins/loses based on a ridiculously complicated algorithm.
Based on analysis of the 2007 results, they were within +/- 5 games for 26 of the teams. They recently released the 2008 PECOTA predictions.
2008 PECOTA PREDICTIONS

Today Joe Christensen has a peice on Matt Garza, who recently showed up at Tampa Bay spring training. For me, it’s always jolting to see one of our players in a new uniform.
I think Garza is going to be fantastic starter in the MLB for many years to come. It was disappointing to lose the […]

Right now, the casual Twins fan might be thinking: Who the hell are these guys?? We’ve seen Delmon Young play only a handful of times against the Twins. We got to see Carlos Gomez last year for one series. And we’ve seen some of the projected starting pitchers. To answer the call, TwinsRumors.com will present […]
